What a Lucky Chic is my twenty year old New York Bred thoroughbred by What Luck out of Patrimar. She had 42 starts and earned around $40,000. She was a mid-level claimer, ( $45,000 purse) and she was trained by the younger Barerra brother. Living in the backstreches of Aqueduct and Belmont, she came to know the harder, seedier side of life.
Hence, she’s one tough mare that no one fools around with ( at least in the cartoon strip) !
